 Situated in The Peak District National Park, Stanage Edge is the biggest of the Gritsone edges, overlooking Hathersage and is one of the most popular walking and climbing areas in the Peaks.

Stanage Edge is 4 miles long and rises to approximately 450 meters at its highest point.

With stunning views and the beautifully colourful moorland scenery, it is easy to understand why this area of The Peaks draws so many walkers come rain or shine, especially as this area of The Peak National Park has literally hundreds of walking and climbing routes suitable for everyone.

The unspoilt and unique scenery that is Stanage Edge has not been missed by TV and film location scouts , who in recent years have chosen it for the location for 2005 film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice as well as the 2006 BBC production of Jane Eyre.

Most importantly of all though perhaps, Stanage Edge is simply a beautiful place to walk, to sit and enjoy some of the best views in the Peak District.

Stanage Edge is located to the west of Sheffield City in England close to Hathersage, the County border between Derbyshire and South Yorkshire runs along the course of the edge. You can reach the area by bus, train, car and cycling route
