Christmas in The Peaks
Christmas in the Peak District
The wonderful thing about The Peak District is that there is something interesting to see and do throughout every season and never more so than at Christmas.
Many of the well known attractions in The Peak District have special events such as enjoying Christmas Carols and music at the 12th Century Haddon Hall or the Christmas markets that run in November on the Chatsworth Estate with over 100 unique stalls offering all you need to make your Christmas complete.
Also, many people chose to stay in The Peak District over Christmas or the New Year where some of the larger properties offer the ideal opportunity for families to get together and the smaller properties offer couples the ideal opportunity for an intimate Christmas and New Year in the most beautiful countryside in the UK.
There is also plenty of shopping to be done in and near the Peak District with excellent shopping to be found at Masson Mills, The Forge Shopping Centre, Buxton, Bakewell and Ashbourne. Just outside the Peak District, the large shopping centre at Meadowhall Sheffield has hundreds of shops and outlets under one roof.
There are so many events in the Peak District on the run up to Christmas, that whether you are looking for Santa for the kids, Christmas Carols, mince pies and mulled wine or just an excuse to get into the Christmas Spirit you will find it in the Peaks. Check our Events page for all everything going on in and around The Peak District at Christmas time.
